What's easier, directing your own screen play or someone else's? After Juno, Jason Reitman (Thank You for Smoking) has returned to directing his own, the adaptation of , Up in the Air. The film has just received the highest amount of Golden Globe nominations, including those for Best Actor for George Clooney and Best Director for Jason Reitman.

Reitman discusses the how the idea for the film developed over a six-year period, directing as an "instinctual business' and the best test of a good screenplay.
