From the obscure to the mainstream, forgotten masters to the next wave of directors, the Los Angeles Film Festival expands its reach with new directors Rebecca Yeldham and David Ansen.
Yeldham and Ansen reel off their hopes and ambitions for making this a world class event, and the challenges they face in mounting a major film festival in Tinseltown. Some of the highlights of this year's June 17-27 event include the documentaries Marwencol and Thunder Soul, and Lisa Cholodenko's The Kids Are All Right. On June 23, Elvis Mitchell hosts an evening with Sylvester Stallone.
