Actor Timothy Olyphant is unique. He's best known for western lawmen in the 21st century, first in HBO's Deadwood, and now in Justified, the FX drama series based on the works of crime novelist Elmore Leonard. He discusses bringing them to life in this new world.

As the second season of Justified comes to an end, Olyphant talks about sabotaging scenes with "the hat," finding comedy and conflict in scripts, his love of David Lynch (who gave him the coolest gift of his career), his stint as a sports commentator, his attraction to Elmore Leonard and his stories, and his enjoyment in collaborating with the directors, writers and actors on the show.
