In less than a decade, writer/director Christopher Nolan has crafted a superhero trilogy that will leave an indelible mark on generations to come. With his signature film noir style, he has infused every frame of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises with emotion, texture, and depth that is atypical of a studio action film, but all the more powerful for it. In this interview, Nolan touches on a myriad of elements that were essential to the completion of The Dark Knight Rises, from its influences to its production design to the costumes. Recorded a few weeks before the tragic theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado, the interview reveals Nolan's love of his craft, and his wish to offer audiences a meaningful experience. Nolan has been a guest on The Treatment for every one of his films since Following in 1999, and we are thrilled he was able to join Elvis for what may be their best conversation yet.
