Now, Lin's forte is big studio films, having directed four of the six in the Fast & Furious franchise. In this conversation, recorded in front of a live audience at the LA Film Festival, he talks about how he still brings that gritty, character-driven, DIY ethos to every film he does, regardless of the budget.
