As the entire planet catches futbol fever and turns to South Africa for the World Cup this month, the excitement and heartfelt passion for the world’s biggest sporting competition is spilling out beyond the walls of soccer stadiums and into the cultural corners of the countries competing. Music is no stranger to the World Cup fever that galvanizes fans and players - and no musicians better represent that excitement this year than South Africa’s own

BLK JKS.

After their worldwide breakout in 2009 with After Robots, BLK JKS is back home in Johannesburg, gigging steadily and gearing up for their performance at the opening ceremonies for The World Cup.

Here on their new EP ZOL!, the African dub rockers offer up an unofficial anthem to the big event and share more of their unmistakable and ever expanding sound on five fantastic new tracks.

BLK JKS will perform at the first-ever FIFA World Cup Kickoff Celebration Concert, live from Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Thursday June 10, 2010. The opening ceremonies will also feature performances by Alicia Keys, Amadou & Miriam, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, Tinariwen and others.
