    Caravan Palace: Caravan Palace

There are very bands that can claim to have absolutely created a new genre, but Caravan Palace actually can. The prime movers in the Electro-Swing sound, this Parisian combo combine old-timey jazz sounds a la Cab Calloway with club vibes fresh out of today's dance scene.

There are very bands that can claim to have absolutely created a new genre, but Caravan Palace actually can. The prime movers in the Electro-Swing sound, this Parisian combo combine old-timey jazz sounds a la Cab Calloway with club vibes fresh out of today's dance scene. Ten years in, the band have made their third album (using a series of graphics as a title, which has colloquially been interpreted as "Robot"), which is aimed for world domination.

A live favorite and a serious sales force in their native France, Caravan Palace made new domestic fans with their appearance at Coachella last year. And this new album keeps the good times coming, with a potent mix of fun-loving genre mashups. So put on your zoot suit and crank up the internet and sample Electro-Swing at its finest.
