Los Angeles-based producer TOKiMONSTA certainly keeps herself busy, exemplified by her latest album, Fovere, released on her own imprint, Young Art Records.

“Fovere is my most complete work to date. By complete I mean it's a body of work that is whole and that I'm proud of. It represents my life at the time it was being made--a point where a lot of transitions were being made and I had the biggest personal growth spurt,” notes TOKi. “Fovere essentially means, ‘to cherish’ in Latin. To cherish everything--good, bad, light and dark.”

Known for her unique take on electronic, hip hop, and dance music, TOKiMONSTA has released two full albums, multiple EPs and vinyl-only singles through highly regarded labels including Ultra Records, Ninja Tune and Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint. Her well received 2014 mini-album Desiderium was the first release on her own label, followed by her joint EP with Gavin Turek, You’re Invited. While TOKi’s needle-pushing music stands on its own, look out for her work with Tinashe, Schoolboy Q, Miguel and Jesse Boykins III, which all showcase why there’s such demand for her productions and remixes.
