Will Rail Extensions Boost LA Metro Ridership?

In a couple months, the Expo line is set to open all the way to Santa Monica, but it opens amid news that there's a decline in Metro ridership.

It's been decades since Angelenos could get from downtown LA to Santa Monica on a rail line, but in just a couple of months, that transit thought indeed will become reality again. The Expo Line – which pretty much runs parallel to Exposition Boulevard -- will be a straight shot, after having been built segment by segment. A monumental track for the Metro Transportation Authority, but it opens amid news that there's a decline in Metro ridership.
