Is Chapman University's Old Towne Orange Party Over?

Over the past 15 years, Chapman University has experienced explosive growth in its bucolic setting in Old Towne Orange. New buildings, programs, an increased student body and the opening of a performing arts center has caused Chapman reputation to increase nationwide. But it's now facing the ire of residents who say students hold too many rowdy parties, and city officials who want to clamp down on such gatherings and are also looking askew at the college's expansion plans. Can there be a compromise?
