Michael Connelly Brings "Bosch" to Life on Amazon
Author Michael Connelly sold the movie rights to his most famous character, Detective Harry Bosch, 20 years ago. The project got stuck in development hell, but when Connelly finally got his Bosch back, he found Amazon waiting with open arms.
TV Guide's Michael Schneider, host of KCRW's Spin-off podcast, sits down with author and now executive producer Michael Connelly. They talk about why the Harry Bosch movie never happened and how Bosch ultimately ended up at Amazon as an original series. Connelly also talks about the tough spot of being stuck in the middle during the Amazon and Hachette feud while making his show, and how he landed on Titus Welliver as his leading man.
