    Margaret Whitton, an actress who has also directed many theater productions, talks with Elvis Mitchell about her first film as a director. A Bird of the Air stars Rachel Nichols as a librarian who, along with a parrot, disrupt the life a loner, played by Jackson Hurst.

    A Bird of the Air was written for the screen by Roger Towne, and is based on the novel The Loop by Joe Coomer.
