FROM THIS EPISODE

California voters may not care enough to go to the polls tomorrow.  A very low turnout’s expected.  But outside interests have cared enough to spend tens of millions of dollars.  Doctors, lawyers, insurance companies and unions have big money invested in ballot propositions.  In some executive and legislative races, so-called “independent committees” have spent more than the candidates—while often hiding their own names.  We’ll look at the state and local ballots.
