Mammoth and Lake Tahoe have been hurting for three years because of the drought. Climate change means late winters, early springs and mountain slopes that used to be covered with white powder still brown under rising snowlines. Does snow itself have a future?

Also, the growing measles outbreak has legislators reconsidering legal permission for parents to opt out of vaccinating their children. We talk with a pediatrician who won't let unvaccinated children in his waiting room.

New Focus on Vaccination Rates at Child Care Centers 10 MIN, 34 SEC

Measles outbreaks used to occur in low-income areas where parents couldn't afford vaccinations. Now, they're happening in the wealthy suburbs of Orange and Los Angeles Counties. On the campus of Santa Monica High School, a confirmed case at the Infant Toddler Center has 14 other babies staying home for the next 21 days. The outbreak has moved one Los Angeles pediatrician to post a notice on Facebook, and in his waiting room, that he won't see children whose parents refuse to have them vaccinated.
