Employment stalls as Occupy Wall Street protests increase in intensity. Palin and Christie are out as Romney ramps up. Finally, we remember Apple founder Steve Jobs.

American employers added 103,000 new jobs in September, but there are still 14 million people searching for work in this country. Also this week the Occupy Wall Street protests increased in their intensity, with President Obama acknowledging them in his news conference Thursday. Also this week, both Sarah Palin and Chris Christie announced they would not for President in 2012, and Mitt Romney made a foreign policy speech on Friday, accusing President Obama of weakening America's image around the world. Finally, our panel remembers Apple founder Steve Jobs, who died this week of pancreatic cancer; he was 56. (This week's guest panelist is Chrystia Freeland.)
