Quality of Life in Los Angeles; More Trouble at the Times

Listen to/Watch entire show:

There's more trouble at the LA Times. Don't look for the special edition of Current on Sunday.  Did the editorial page editor have a conflict of interest?  Also, the vanishing middle class as a symptom of the LA County's declining quality of life.

Gone with the Current, Times Editor Martinez Resigns ()

The credibility of the LA Times is under another cloud with the resignation--under pressure--of Editorial Page Editor Andrés Martinez.  Publisher David Killer killed this Sunday's much-touted special edition of Current because of what he calls "an appearance of conflict" involving Martinez's girlfriend and the selection of producer Brian Grazer to edit that special edition. The PR firm of Martinez' girlfriend represents Grazer.  Kevin Roderick broke the story yesterday on his website, LAObserved.com.
