The "creative communities" of LA and Orange County are losing jobs. Employment in arts and entertainment dropped by 11% between 2007 and 2010, and there's a ripple effect on all those supporting artists and entertainers — directly and indirectly — from technicians, writers, hairdressers and caterers to all the people they do business with. Many people in Hollywood blame Internet piracy, and they've made it a hot issue on Capitol Hill. We've sampled KCRW listeners who work in the industry through Facebook and the Public Insight Network. We hear from them and others. On our rebroadcast of today's To the Point, is Newt Gingrich another flash in the pan?
