KCRW 89.9FM, licensed to Santa Monica College, is National Public Radio's flagship station for Southern California. The Santa Monica-based nonprofit represents cutting edge radio at its best, presenting an eclectic mix of independent music, news, talk and arts programming.

KCRW’s production team is seeking a talented, full-time recording and audio engineer for day to day mixing duties and large scale projects.

Responsibilities include recording and editing daily content; mixing weekly and monthly programming, recording in live and taped environments, and meeting time-sensitive deadlines. This position reports to the Production Director.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work solo or with a team to complete projects, self-motivate, and have a few years of experience in broadcasting and/or recording studio workplaces.

KCRW is looking for a talented, creative associate producer to join the team of our daily talk show Press Play. This position will be responsible for generating creative feature segments that embody KCRW’s eclectic spirit.

As KCRW evolves from a beloved public radio station to a multi-platform media and culture organization, our approach to music must evolve as well. Music is the life-blood of KCRW. It’s in our DNA and the primary source of new music discovery for thousands of music fans around Los Angeles and the world. As LA’s premier platform for emerging artists and shifting trends in independent music, our Music Director must be living in both the future and present of music-listening behavior and tapped into local and global passion-points for music fans. The right candidate will be excited to manage, serve and lead a team of talented DJs and engage our audience with best-in-class music experiences through broadcast, digital and in-person events.

As KCRW evolves from a beloved public radio station to a multi-platform media and culture organization, we’re looking for a Director of Digital Content to lead engagement and growth across KCRW’s digital channels. The Director of Digital Content acts as KCRW’s lead site editor for digital content (music, news, culture) and manages KCRW’s nimble social team, digital and video editors as they tell engaging stories across KCRW’s website, app and social platforms. We’re looking for a thought-leader with digital and editorial experience who puts the audience first, works collaboratively, and will always look for new ways to tell compelling digital stories about our music, news and culture programming and events.

Reporting to the President, KCRW is recruiting a Chief Content Officer who will head a dynamic and creative team of content producers across platforms. In addition to the traditional radio broadcasts, the CCO will help lead KCRW news and cultural affairs, on-demand podcast market, and create live event engagement opportunities. The executive hired will be responsible for working with the President to create the leadership, vision, strategic plan, and daily administration of KCRW's content team in, radio, podcasting, social media and live events.

KCRW is seeking a part time, fill-in anchor to join our award-winning news and on-air team in Santa Monica. This anchor will substitute for regular hosts when time off is scheduled and as operational needs arise. We are seeking a warm, natural and authoritative on-air presence to assist with the execution of live broadcasts across days, including weekends, middays, and AM/PM drive time. This is a great part-time role that is dependent on a flexible and adaptive on air talent, and an opportunity to get to know KCRW. The ideal candidate must have an engaging on-air style, excellent news judgement, a thirst for accurate, timely news coverage, strong technical skills, meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to write quickly and compellingly for audio. This position works closely with editors and producers. The Anchor must integrate network and KCRW content seamlessly, understanding Southern California and its important role in the national conversation.
