KCRW is looking for a talented, creative editor to join the team of our daily talk show Press Play. The editor will be responsible for helping guide the editorial mission, voice, and spirit of the show. This position is full-time, reporting to the Managing Producer.
KCRW is seeking an experienced and organized Digital Strategist & Product Manager to manage our digital projects and systems. Equal parts project manager and digital strategist, you’ll live in the Marketing and Digital Content department but are ready to work closely with IT, operations, comms and content teams to grow and build upon the KCRW brand in all our digital, social and mobile channels. Candidates with experience in digital strategy, audience building and analytics will get first consideration.
Reporting to the President, KCRW is recruiting a Chief Content Officer who will head a dynamic and creative team of content producers across platforms. In addition to the traditional radio broadcasts, the CCO will help lead KCRW news and cultural affairs, on-demand podcast market, and create live event engagement opportunities. The executive hired will be responsible for working with the President to create the leadership, vision, strategic plan, and daily administration of KCRW's content team in, radio, podcasting, social media and live events.
KCRW seeks a Donor Relations Manager responsible for frontline fundraising and building, cultivating and stewarding donor relationships. The Donor Relations Manager will play a critical role in increasing donor support and acts as an ambassador for KCRW across the community. Responsibilities include: new donor identification, cultivation and stewardship of existing donors to increase overall retention and giving levels, and relationship management between donors and others on the board and staff who work with them.
KCRW is committed to serving and representing all communities of Southern California. We are excited to launch our new KCRW Report LA Fellowship which aims to diversify the public media newsroom by training and funding two budding journalists from historically underrepresented groups for one year. By removing barriers that impede entry into the public media newsroom, we hope to find enthusiastic people of all backgrounds who stay up on the news, demonstrate knowledge of Southern California, have some experience (college media accepted) and are pursuing a career in media.
KCRW is seeking a part time, fill-in anchor to join our award-winning news and on-air team in Santa Monica. This anchor will substitute for regular hosts when time off is scheduled and as operational needs arise. We are seeking a warm, natural and authoritative on-air presence to assist with the execution of live broadcasts across days, including weekends, middays, and AM/PM drive time. This is a great part-time role that is dependent on a flexible and adaptive on air talent, and an opportunity to get to know KCRW. The ideal candidate must have an engaging on-air style, excellent news judgement, a thirst for accurate, timely news coverage, strong technical skills, meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to write quickly and compellingly for audio. This position works closely with editors and producers. The Anchor must integrate network and KCRW content seamlessly, understanding Southern California and its important role in the national conversation.
