KCRW Foundation is excited to welcome our three newest members to the KCRW Foundation Board: Nina Jacobson, Principal, Color Force, producer Hunger Games; Kevin Systrom, co-founder and CEO, Instagram; Edward Woods, Partner, Akin Gump. We are so happy to have these three talented and passionate KCRW supporters joining us as we enter into a new era.
Nina, a Los Angeles Native, began a long and successful career in film as a documentary researcher. Her industry experience spans from Disney to Universal Pictures, and most recently she founded her own production company Color Force. Their projects include Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the ever popular Hunger Games trilogy.
Beyond work, Nina is active within the non-profit world, working with organizations like Teen Line, Feminist Majority Foundation, and Inner City Filmmakers. In 1995, she and film director Bruce Cohen formed Out There, a collection of gay and lesbian entertainment industry activists.
Nina is a long-time supporter, listener, and fan of KCRW.
KEVIN SYSTROM, CO-FOUNDER of INSTAGRAM
Kevin co-founded Instagram in 2010. In case you aren’t part of the community of more than 200 million using Instagram today, it’s an online platform where users are encouraged to capture and share the world’s moments. He is responsible for the company’s overall vision and strategy as well as day-to-day operations.
A note from Kevin to you: “I’ve been listening online to KCRW for years, and I’m thrilled to join the Board and have the opportunity to work to further its mission.
