You think you have a busy schedule? Check out a day in the life of KCRW!

Our morning started at City Hall!

Councilmember Bill Rosendahl honored Warren Olney at City Hall yesterday, acknowledging Olney’s tremendous service to the people of Los Angeles through his signature program, Which Way, LA? In addition to an honorary scroll, Rosendahl presented Warren with a half dozen fresh, “home-grown” eggs from his personal farm, including a coveted turkey egg!

Meanwhile in the basement…

Brendan Benson played a great set in KCRW’s studios. He even played a special request for KCRW’s own Rachel Reynolds, that he dedicated to her. You can read her thoughts and catch a video from the live set here.

A few hours later in the basement, Joel McHale swung by to record with Elvis Mitchell for The Treatment. Stay tuned for that episode next week.

To round out an already jam-packed day, KCRW headed to UCLA’s Royce Hall for Radiolab Live: In the Dark.

Jad and Robert were joined by comedian Demitri Martin, singer Thao Nguyen and the dance company Piloblus for a live show that was worth ever second.
