Keep KCRW independent

Written by

Hi there,

I'm new to Los Angeles, drawn here from the east coast for the opportunity to work in the KCRW newsroom with journalists doing some of the most compelling stories anywhere in the country. But my relationship with KCRW was built over years of listening from afar as I was transported through my headphones to the cultural capital of the world. It was the music I wasn't hearing anywhere else, original perspectives on entertainment, and the voices of Angelenos I was connecting with through KCRW's reporters.

Being a part of KCRW is a special experience, as a member and as a part of the newsroom. Our journalists uncover the stories happening in your neighborhood. In a sea of debilitating headlines, they don't just explain big problems. They seek accountability for the homelessness crisis, and find people creating solutions to the climate crisis right here in Southern California. They help us all figure out what we can do to make the world better, and how we can find common ground on the trickiest issues. Along with incredible music, entertainment and Good Food, it's such an important part of how KCRW serves your mind, your heart and your soul.

We can only do all of it because member support keeps KCRW independent. Our agenda is to serve and build our community, and the strength of that depends on our amazing members. Give today and your support can go even further, the first 250 people who donate today will each unlock an additional $100 for KCRW, so renew before midnight for an added bonus. That means if you give $60, it becomes $160 for KCRW, thanks to KCRW Board Member Susan Genco & Mitch Kamin. Supporting this work is one great way to make your community a better place, so please become a member with a donation today.

Thank you,
