Ever wondered what it would be like to hold an Oscar?

Starting Monday, movie fans in a handful of cities across the country will get a chance to hold the prestigious film award statuette as part of a national tour that’ll culminate with the Academy Awards next month.

The tour will begin Monday in New York, and then move to cities including Philadelphia, Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Dallas and Phoenix. Fans will be able to touch and take pictures with the statuette at sites selected in each city based on fan votes cast over social media, according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The tour will wrap up in Hollywood on February 24, the day of the 85th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre.

The statuette’s tour can be followed online at OscarRoadtrip.com, at the Twitter feed OscarRoadtrip and at Facebook.com/TheAcademy.
