Tonight, the two people running to replace Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley, Alan Jackson and Jackie Lacey, will take part in a debate.

KCRW’s Warren Olney will moderate, and he spoke to Steve Chiotakis about how the race is shaping up.

Olney says he plans to ask about topics ranging from inmate abuse at county jails to the abolition of the death penalty. He’ll also ask about how much they might adjust the focus of the biggest prosecutorial office of the United States.
