The Broad museum , designed by architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, is scheduled to open in September. The project drew a mixed reaction when its concrete honeycomb “veil” was recently unveiled.

The Broad museum, designed by architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, is scheduled to open in September. The project drew a mixed reaction when its concrete honeycomb “veil” was recently unveiled. But KCRW Arts Reporter Lisa Napoli, who lives on Bunker Hill and has watched The Broad unfold, explains why she thinks the museum will be an exciting addition to a neighborhood still alive with “ghosts.”
