1.  Le Feu de L’Eau Candles ($60)

Jo Strettell & Wendy Polish are the women behind a line of scented candles made in Los Angeles called Le Feu de L’Eau.  Each soy-based candle is sculpted underwater (no two are exactly the same) and the colours are hand mixed. The collection of nine custom-blended fragrances includes Le Feu Gris (musk/smoke), Le Feu D’Ivoire (patchouli/amber), and Le Feu Chartreuse (cedar/frankincense). Beautiful objects that make perfect scents. Get it here.

2. Scout Regalia Bike (From $4,500)

Picked by: Guy Horton

The Scout Regalia Bicycle is a practical, sleek, handmade bike that combines qualities of a mixte bike, an English-Dutch town bike, and a mountain bike. While it’s certainly on the pricier side, it comes with a guarantee of durability by Scout Regalia, a young design firm that is building itself a reputation for hardy, locally crafted spaces and products that are inspired by LA’s outdoorsy life. 3. Kohler Moxie Showerhead ($199)

Picked by: Tom Schnabel

Kohler designers say that they programmed this showerhead/speaker to KCRW, so we couldn’t resist giving it to our connoisseur of all things audiophonic, Tom Schnabel. He says : “I found it odd but wonderful. The sound is great, the shower head a “rainforest” type, good wide coverage, which I found better than a narrower Speakman head.  One can also disengage the speaker from the showerhead and place it elsewhere in the bathroom.  Plus you can never really hear the radio when you’re in the shower.  So my verdict is:  thumbs up. . . and better to listen to Rhythm Planet by! Get it here.

4. Ugly Christmas Sweater (From $32)

It has open-top construction to allow for easy access while on the road, and pockets sized for the iPad Mini, iPad or MacBook Air 11.” I love the elegance of the charcoal grey naked leather version.
