Sustainability in Santa Monica, Luxury in Beverly Hills

Elizabeth Moule, architect of the Natural Resources Defense Council's new Santa Monica office, and Walter Scott Perry, founder of Eco-Tech, who creatively remodeled his Hollywood Hills home using materials at hand, discuss Green design with Frances Anderton. Then, a conversation with publisher Benedikt Taschen and designer Philippe Starck about Taschen's luxurious Beverly Hills store, the publisher's first in the US.

Architect Elizabeth Moule is a partner with Moule and Polyzoides Architects and Urbanists. She is in charge of the new NRDC Office Building at 1314 Second Street in Santa Monica.

Architect Walter Scott Perry, founder of Eco-Tech Ecology-Technology, is the designer of a remodeled, solar-powered home in the Hollywood Hills.

Benedikt Taschen is founder of Taschen Publishing, which has just opened its first US store at 354 North Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills.

Philippe Starck is a designer of everything from toothbrushes to hotels, including the newly opened Taschen Bookstore in Beverly Hills.
