At 2015 Network TV Upfronts, What's Old Is New Again
If you were a fan of network television in the 90's, you're in a luck. Some of those shows are coming back. From Coach to The X-Files to The Muppets, reboots and returns were recurring theme at this year's upfront presentations in New York.

This is the annual event where the major networks make presentations to advertisers, hoping to sell ad time for their upcoming season. This year those presentations included lots of old shows coming back in some form. The Muppets will have a new show on ABC, and Heroes Reborn comes to NBC. Superheroes continue to be popular on networks like The CW, and Supergirl will make her premiere on CBS. The upfronts also demonstrated the power certain showrunners have at the networks. Dick Wolf's Chicago Med will join Chicago Fire and Chicago PD on NBC, and Shonda Rhimes still rules Thursday nights at ABC with shows like Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder. She'll soon have another show on the network called The Catch. And amidst all the excitement for new shows, there was also an announcement about one major good-bye -- Fox bids adieu to American Idol.
