Emmy nominations are out, with lots of love for HBO's Game of Thrones and FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson and Fargo.

If you heard a yell go out this morning, it was TV critics across the country collectively rejoicing in the inclusion of FX's show The Americans in this year's Emmy nominations. The USA show Mr. Robot also managed to break through for its first impressive season. The consensus seemed to be that this was a much better set of nominations than previous years, but still included some rubber-stamping of shows like Downton Abbey and House of Cards. In snubs, Orange is the New Black failed to receive a nomination for the series or for acting. Also somewhat awkwardly for CBS, James Corden was nominated, but Stephen Colbert was not.
