The Cancellation of HBO's 'Luck'

Hosted by

This week, after a third horse died on the set of HBO's horse-racing show, Luck, the series was cancelled. The show had had some high profile talent attached -- stars Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte, producer David Milch and director Michael Mann. John and Kim debated the role of the series poor ratings in the network's decisions and reflected on the history of Mann and Milch's poor relations. PETA played a role in alerting the media to the fact of the horses' deaths and some have argued that HBO should have responded sooner than it had.
