OC Boots Mississippi's Flag — but Not the County's Klan Past

Hosted by

Sometime this month, the Mississippi flag flying in the Santa Ana Civic Plaza will be taken down, along with all the other state flags. The move comes after the Orange County Board of Supervisors voted on the matter, citing the Confederate flag on Mississippi's banner. Organizations such as the Orange County Bar Association and the OC Human Relations have praised the move. The ironic thing, though, is that there are many reminders of Orange County's Confederate and KKK past still standing around the county. Will those be next?
