WEB EXCLUSIVE: For the past decade, Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido has been one of two Orange County-based members on the South Coast Air Quality Management District Board of Trustee, the agency in charge of making sure we all breath clean air. During his time, he has pushed for renewable energy measures and job creation for that market. But earlier this month, OC Republican Party leaders pushed to knock Pulido off his seat. Through the Orange County City Selection Committee, a group of local elected officials that makes appointments to the boards of regional government agencies, the GOP succeeded in replacing Pulido with Lake Forest Mayor Dwight Robinson, who vowed to loosen regulations. What does this mean for SoCal's quality of air--and is this the beginning of the end for Pulido's political career?
