Orange County finally embraces biking

Hosted by

Given its fundamental spread-out landscape, Orange County planners have never developed with bicyclist in mind. That has led to the county having the second-highest rate of pedestrian or bicycle collisions in the state. But things are slowly changing, as indicated by the Orange County Transportation Authority granting $19.5 million to 13 local projects seeking to better biking conditions across OC. The selected projects range from bike racks to bike lanes and more. Will such a move get more OCers out of their cars and onto a fixie?
