Will there be more days ahead for 'One Day at a Time'?

Last week Netflix announced it was canceling the critically-adored sitcom   'One Day at a Time,' and TV Twitter got very upset. Could there be a future on another network for the re-imagined Norman Lear classic?

When Netflix announced it was cancelling the comedy 'One Day at a Time,' the streaming service said simply not enough people were watching. But of course, because it's Netflix, we don't actually know the numbers. It would be a first, but could a traditional broadcast network pick up the show? It's possible! Though it would be complicated, possibly expensive proposition, but the show would now doubt be more popular than the new shows the broadcast networks are about to put on air for the new season--most of those will go away in under a year. Plus,'One Day at a Time' seems like a natural fit for ABC or CBS, and would come with somewhat of a built-in audience, although, once again, we don't know exactly how much of one.
