Inside Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles it's “always loud” according to Dino Baglioni. And he should know, he's been an inmate here twice. With the sound of hundreds of other prisoners, the opening and shutting of metal gates, and the sheriffs' radios, “you become very aware of the hard surfaces” he says. It makes it hard to get some time to think, says Baglioni. In particular, he says he'll never forget those “heavy metal keys.”
