Julio Gosdinksi runs a stable of sixtysix horses, “all jumpers.” In high school, he began working weekends as an operator at the 90year old Griffith Park MerryGoRound, “this jewel in the park.” “The owners were like family to me,” Gosdinski remembers. Many years later, when one of them passed away, he left his half of the business to Gosdinski. The best thing about owning your own merrygoround? “Anything that happens out there, you come to the park, you open up the merrygoround...it’s like you’re in a different world.”
