  • Wanda's chairman, Wang Jianlin, visited Los Angeles recently in an attempt to woo Hollywood filmmakers to his massive “movie metropolis” in Qingdao, China. He’s offered a tempting 40 percent production rebate, but we'll see how many US studios are will to relocate their films.  
  • NFL games used to be the surest of sure bets on television, but this year ratings are way down. It could be the combination of a lot of factors, including the elections, but the drop has broadcasters increasingly worried.
  • Is AT&T trying to buy Time Warner? The merger would be massive and would probably run up against antitrust concerns before it could ever go through.
