Last month, a standing-room only crowd packed a room at the Las Vegas Convention Center...at 9 in the morning...for one purpose: they wanted to hear about The Walking Dead.

As a part of this year's gathering of the National Association of Broadcasters, Michael Schneider moderated a panel with Robert Kirkman, the creator and executive producer of The Walking Dead; actor Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn on the show; and Charlie Collier, the president of AMC.

The Walking Dead is the number one show across all of television for three years running. When Season 5 wrapped last month, and it was the highest rated season yet, with a finale that drew more than 20 million viewers. A number like that is incredible on its own, but even more so when you consider that until a few years ago, AMC was just that cable station that just played old movies. Now, in addition to The Walking Dead, it touts acclaimed dramas like Mad Men and Better Call Saul.

And if you can't get enough of The Walking Dead, fear not, a companion series called Fear the Walking Dead will run on AMC this summer. Later in the panel, we talk about that new series and the kinds of stories it will tackle.
