Eighteen years after filming Before Sunrise, Richard Linklater, Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke are together again with Before Midnight. The main characters, Celine and Jesse, are now in their forties, and live in Paris with their two twin daughters. The sequel, to 1994's Before Sunrise and its 2004 follow-up, Before Sunset, is more about relationship than romance, and focuses on Jesse and Celine's day to day reality as a couple. The film was co-written by Linklater, Delpy and Hawke, and all three of them joined Elvis for the following conversation after a screening as part of the Film Independent at LACMA screening series. (CONTAINS ADULT LANGUAGE)
