There is a science to having a successful variety television show for a generation that consumes entertainment at an unprecedented rate. Nick Kroll seems to have figured out the formula with his new Comedy Central series, Kroll Show. In it, he plays a wide variety of the reality show archetypes we've grown to know and love (or not). Except on Kroll Show, it's spoof, thus drawing attention to the more serious discussion about how, and why, we watch TV. A stand up comedian who often performs in character, Nick Kroll has found his stride by playing unfortunate pop culture conundrums that somehow find their way into our hearts.
