In this episode, stories of the ocean; what it does to us and how it changes us.

Surfer Greg Rachal talks about the first time he ever rode a tube.

Long distance swimmer Diana Nyad talks about the experience of swimming non-stop for days at a time. Not only is her body punished by the hours of swimming, her mind is is profoundly affected by long periods of sensory deprivation. Her mind free associates and hallucinates. She sings the same song thousands of times.

Writer Dave White returns to the program with a story of a trip to the beach that changed everything. He's always hated the beach. At first, he's just as miserable as always. Then after some chicken, a nap, and getting hit in the head with a Frisbee, something happens.
