Hello! Shadow Kitchen invites you to kick back, relax… and watch cars escape the police.

Multidisciplinary artist, musician, and performer Kenny Zhao will improvise some tunes, beats and vibes alongside an edited montage of some of the most memorable Los Angeles car chases and pursuits.

Why are we so fascinated by LA car chases? Do we root for the potential escapee or the chasers? Do we as the viewer care about the crime prior to the chase? What does it mean to create and find entertainment from real-life dangerous situations where people's lives are genuinely at stake? Perhaps you have these questions in mind… or perhaps you just want to have a chill time observing suspects flee the not-so-chill police. We'll see you on September 17 at Coaxial Arts.
