"Smooth World" World Premiere

Join the Newport Beach Film Festival for the World Premiere of the “Smooth World” documentary, followed by a post-screening Q&A and a short musical performance from artists Dave Koz and Cory Wong. “Smooth World” catches up with the world of Smooth Jazz: a once-mighty musical genre that has survived critics and the implosion of its radio stations to evolve into a hidden paradise for senior citizens. But all’s not well. With leader Dave Koz incapacitated by a tortured relationship to the word “smooth”, the clock is ticking on the hunt for the movement’s next leader — one who will attract young fans and ensure that the Smooth World lives forever.
