Barbara Slavin

Barbara Slavin is the acting director of the Future of Iran Initiative at the Atlantic Council and a Washington correspondent for Al-Monitor.com. A contributor to Foreign Policy and Politico among other media outlets, she is the author of Bitter Friends, Bosom Enemies: Iran, the US, and the Twisted Path to Confrontation. Slavin has also previously served as assistant managing editor for World and National Security at the Washington Times, a senior fellow at the United States Institute for Peace, and a former senior diplomatic reporter for USA Today.
