Samuel Popkin

Samuel Popkin is a professor of political science at the University of California, San Diego, and the author of The Candidate: What It Takes to Win -- and Hold -- the White House and the forthcoming The Republican Crack-up and the Future of Presidential Politics. He was a consultant to five Democratic presidential campaigns, including those of Bill Clinton and Al Gore.
