Arnie Seipel

Arnie Seipel oversees KCRW's content strategy to build community around news, music, food and entertainment programming on all platforms. In this role, he has launched new shows including Question Everything and The Sam Sanders Show. He has led the national broadcast expansion of KCRW's venerated politics roundtable Left, Right & Center.

Under his leadership, KCRW has developed new properties to engage audiences beyond broadcasting, focused on social media, newsletters, events and digital audio, while expanding KCRW's reach and engagement with radio listeners.

Seipel joined KCRW in 2022 as news director after more than a decade as a journalist at NPR in Washington, D.C., primarily editing coverage of politics. He was a member of the White House Correspondents Association and the Radio & Television Correspondents' Association on Capitol Hill. Seipel serves as a member of the podcast industry's Signal Awards Judging Academy.

He received a bachelor's degree in Government & Politics at the University of Maryland.
