A Rhythm Planet Christmas

For the first time in a decade, I won’t be spinning tunes on air come Christmas morning, but I thought I’d still share some of my favorites via a Spotify playlist. I tried to keep the selection as eclectic as ever, with holiday tunes from across musical genres—jazz, soul, blues, classical, world, reggae, and more. Just to name a few, we’ll hear artists such as Nancy Wilson (RIP), Pink Martini, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, James Brown, Lord Nelson, Joseph Spence, Roy Milton, Voces8, Maria Bethânia, Freddie McGregor, Compay Segundo, and Celia Cruz. The Jingle Catsmake an appearance. Plus Ashleigh Still and Barbra Streisand sing about spending Christmas in Los Angeles.
