Stana Katicwas really excited to be at KCRW’s studios. We were taping her session while Morning Becomes Eclectic was on the air and she even held a note up against the glass saying hello to Jason Bentley. The first thing she told us is that she is a huge music fan and had a lot of trouble narrowing down her list.

But she did it anyway, concentrating on a theme of love in her discussion with DJ Raul Campos (see some great photos below, courtesy of Gregg Lewis).

She talks about using music to communicate with her co-stars, particularly the “intoxicating” music of Florence and the Machine. She calls Paolo Nutini’s “Candy” her “go-to” when she’s feeling tried or bummed and says This Mortal Coil’s versionof “Song to the Siren” helps her navigate the emotional labyrinth of love. Stana also shared her first favorite song: the title track from Chariots of Fire.

Check out her full Guest DJ Project set here and find out more about her latest project, the indie film “For Lovers Only”.
