Michael Voltaggio compete on Top Chef, it was hard not to think of him as a rock star – with all the tattoos and a punk rock attitude.
But it wasn’t just that – he had the GOODS. He was clearly one of the most talented chefs in the group and he ended up beating out his brother for the Season 6 title.
Little did I know he came from a rough neighborhood and got his start cooking at a Holiday Inn, a job that eventually became a passion that eventually became a career. He opened up LA restaurant Ink. a year ago to much acclaim.
In his Guest DJ Project set, he tells us how Notorious B.I.G.’s “Juicy” mirrors his life, as well as how he he uses The Beatles’ “Let It Be” as his mantra when he’s in the weeds.
