Chico Mann Live on KCRW

Chico Mann has been one of the most played artists at KCRW over the last few weeks and hearing our favorite –“Ya Yo Se” – live was a great way to start the week. His music fuses Afrobeat with the music of Cuba. In fact, he praised KCRW for helping get this modern Afrobeat sound out to a larger audience. “Mentirosos” was also a standout, along with “Estrellitas,” which he described as a re-imagining of Merengue.
