Upcoming Live Performances on MORNING BECOMES ECLECTIC with host JASON BENTLEY

Tuesday, May 29, We’ll broadcast a live session with LA’s own Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros recorded in front of a live audience at Apogee’s Berkeley Street Studios. Hosted by Liza Richardson. We’ll literally get down with the gang as we hear a batch of new songs on the day of their album release. Join Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Wednesday, May 30, Ramona Gonzales, best known as Nite Jewel, stands out as a buzzworthy L.A. singer and composer. Her latest full length perfectly captures the lovelorn energy of the City of Angels. We’ll hear it on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Wednesday, June 6, Theresa Andersson is a one woman band from New Orleans and she returns to Morning Becomes Eclectic with songs from her new release Street Parade at 11:15am.

Thursday, June 7, Toronto-based artist Bahamas caught the attention of Feist and Jack Johnson for his skillful guitar work and powerful songs. Bahamas will treat KCRW listeners to some of those tunes on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15 before he heads out to Pasadena’s One Colorado Courtyard this weekend.

Monday, June 11,
Dev Hynes may moonlight as a songwriter for artists like Florence and the Machine and The Chemical Brothers but we venture into his solo work as Blood Orange when he drops by our studios. It’s a soulful melange of pop experimentalism. Hear it on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Tuesday, June 12, L.A.-based duo Electric Guest are inspired by classic 70’s songwriting with a nod to nostalgic soul. Danger Mouse lent his magical touch to their full length debut and we’ll catch up with the duo when they join Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Wednesday, June 13, Best Coast will bring the sunshine into KCRW’s basement studios with a collection of catchy new songs that showcase Bethany Cosentino’s love affair with California. Hear it at 11:15am on Morning Becomes Eclectic.

Thursday, June 14,
We were early supporters of singer Mayer Hawthorne and he is bringing his band The County back to our studios for a set of neo-soul. We’ll hear a rousing set when they join Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.
